General: Season: 01.06.2025 to 31.08.2025 Every angler needs a state fishing license. Every angler needs a so-called Orklakort (registration) It is compulsory to disinfect your equipment before fishing, even if you are moving from one river to another. In the event of exceptional occurrences, the state can issue short-term changes to the regulations at any time Sea trout are protected all year round. All salmon over 65 cm are protected all year round. Catch & Kill: 1 salmon per day (maximum length 65 cm). If a fish is taken, fishing must be stopped for that day (until midnight). Maximum 2 salmon per season. Catch & Release: Maximum 20 salmon catch & release per season. Link to the original text of the Orkla-Fellesforvaltning
If a guest breaches these fishing laws, the fishery license will be immediately withdrawn. If this is the case, this fisherman shall have not be entitled to any compensation or reimbursement of any kind. The offense shall be reported immediately to the fishing authority. (The penalty will be a high fine and fishing prohibited for the current season as well as for the coming season on all rivers of the region.)
