As is well known, the Orkla and 32 other salmon rivers have been closed at short notice by the Norwegian Department of
Fisheries (Miljodirektorat) during the 2024 season from 23 June 2024.
Aunemo Lodge has refunded all customers whose booking in 2024 was affected by the closure the full booking price or
rebooked them for the 2025 salmon season free of charge!
At the moment it is still uncertain whether the Orkla will be reopened for fishing in the 2025 season.
Due to positive signs we assume that the Orkla will be reopened for salmon fishing on June 1st, 2025.
However, stricter fishing regulations are expected to be introduced to protect the salmon!
Payment for your booking is only due when the Norwegian Department of Fisheries (Miljodirektoratet) officially permits fishing
for Atlantic salmon on the Orkla again for the 2025 season.
If, contrary to expectations, the Orkla remains closed for the 2025 salmon season, we will cancel your booking free of charge!
